We have secured free training from With You (Rotherham’s drug and alcohol service) to strengthen staff confidence and skills in responding to opioid overdoses.
These sessions will support professionals to:
- Recognise the signs of an opioid overdose
- Confidently administer Naloxone, a life-saving medication that can reverse the effects of an overdose
- Understand what to do in an emergency and the basic aftercare required until emergency services arrive
Each participant will also receive a Naloxone kit following the session.
Available session dates - 12 spaces per session:
- Thursday 9th April, 09:30 – 10:30
- Tuesday 8th September, 14:00 – 15:00
- Thursday 3rd December, 09:30 – 10:30
Please share with your teams and encourage colleagues who may benefit to book on - this would benefit place-based staff including business support staff, outreach and engagement and possibly residential staff.
