Rotherham Safeguarding Children Partnership and Rotherham Safeguarding Adults Board along with Safer Rotherham Partnership are working together to host safeguarding week 2019. The key message is ‘Safeguarding is Everybody's Business’. The themes for awareness week this year are criminal exploitation, mental health and safeguarding in sport. Tuesday 9th July will see the return of the Safeguarding Week Conference. The focus this year is mental health. Alongside the conference, there will also be a number of information stalls showcasing the support that is available for adults, children and families experiencing mental health. Friday 12th July will see the return of the Safeguarding Week Learning event led by South Yorkshire Police. The focus is Child and Adult criminal exploitation. A variety of workshops will also take place on the following: FGM, Honour Based Abuse, Forced Marriage and Breast Ironing Fraud Prevention Cuckooing Modern Day Slavery and County Lines Hoarding Consanguinity For some events you'll need to book a place to attend.
