Trauma Informed Practice Stage 1

Explore trauma-informed principles with Mandy Craig (SCSP). Introductory training now available as Train the Trainer. Attend only if not offered in your service. Contact SCSP to get involved.

A trauma-informed approach represents a way of working across all services that promotes six principles: safety, empowerment, choice, collaboration, trust, and cultural consideration.

This training introduces these principles and encourages discussion and reflection on how they can be applied in practice. Sheffield is committed to becoming a trauma-informed city, making this training relevant to all agencies.

This course is now available as a Train the Trainer model for internal delivery within services. You only need to attend if your service is not offering it. If you're interested in the Train the Trainer option, please contact safeguardingchildrentraining@sheffield.gov.uk.
