About Rotherham Children Safeguarding Partnership

Rotherham Safeguarding Children Partnership supports organisations in Rotherham to work together in a system where:

  • Children are kept safe, and their well-being is a top priority.
  • Different organisations work together and share a common goal: to improve the lives of vulnerable children.
  • These organisations hold each other accountable and speak up when things need to improve.
  • New risks to children's safety are spotted early and carefully looked into.
  • Lessons are learned from past experiences, helping services improve and adapt how they support children and families.
  • Information is shared quickly and accurately, so better decisions can be made for children and their families.

The RSCP is a statutory body, established in accordance with the Children Act 2004 and Working Together guidance 2023.

  • Safeguarding in Education

Working with education partners and the statutory agencies to address risks for children in school and those not currently receiving a school education.

  • Performance, Practice and Learning

Using data and quality assurance to drive improvement, target partnership activity, and deliver training and shared learning across the system.
