Information and support for professionals and volunteers
This section provides safeguarding information and advice for professionals and volunteers who deliver services to children, young people and their families.
As a professional or volunteer working with or for children you are in a good position to notice if a child is showing signs of abuse or neglect, or to suspect whether they have been a victim of bullying or have seen harmful content on the internet.
This website has advice and guidance, and links to other useful sites, to help you understand what action you can take to protect a child.
We also have a useful policies and procedures section to help professionals and volunteers to understand how they can safeguard children they work or come into contact with.

We also provide threshold guidance for professionals to help identify when a child may need support.
